Shotley Gate sits at the south-eastern most point of the Shotley peninsula where the rivers Orwell and Stour merge. The top picture, taken from the Shotley Gate Marina, shows container ships moored up at the Port of Felixstowe, while the lower picture, taken from Shotley Cliff, looks out across the Stour towards Harwich, with Shotley Pier in the middle distance.
